Our History
Since 2006
NEWARTMUSIK roots goes back to the OMORFIA ENSEMBLE. An asymmetric new-music chamber ensemble performance group.
Under the direction of its founder, conductor Sylvia Constantinidis, OMORFIA premiered in concert in 2006 at the FESTIVAL OF MIAMI EMERGING COMPOSERS CONCERT, later that year at the MDC NEW MILLENIUM CONCERT SERIES, and on the fall, at the MDC FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS.
By 2009, OMORFIA ENSEMBLE also started a continuous collaboration for composers’ concerts with the NACUSA SOUTHEAST Chapter.
SECCO SINFONIETTA & ECCO SINFONIETTA were created in 2010. They were founded as performing orchestra ensembles for NEWARTMUSIK new contemporary music festivals: FLAMINGO in South Florida, and EUROAMERICAN in Europe.
Since 2006 to the present, NEWARTMUSIK has created the stage for the participation of over two hundred composers, musical performers and artists from all over the world.
